Turn off call screening on Samsung Galaxy 3

I went crazy and spent hours trying to find where to turn off the call screening on my new Samsung. Well here it is. If by mistake you turned this feature on now you know what it does.

Put your finger on top of screen and pull down. You will find WI-FI, Bluetooth, GPS...etc
Pick and unselect Driving mode...whala now your phone will stop announcing who is calling. LOL..

If your cell phone is ringing instead of ignoring or cancel the call, you can pull up from the bottom of the phone with your finger and choose a pre-typed text. example:

You can choose from several pre-sets. The selected text will be sent to the person calling.

Where is the memory card in a g1??

I know how you feel. I could not figured it out either. You need to open the keyboard and in the lower right corner of the keyboard is a little flap you open toward the lower edge of the phone.

Resetting G1 Google Cell Phone

If you have problems with your g1 phone where is freezing or you want to reset it to factory settings the following are the procedures:

For hard reset - Where everything gets erased and it is back to factory settings.

turn off phone
hold down red button
last button to the right to turn off. Once off

hold home key (little house) and red key (phone icon) down at the same time
and the reset graphic screen comes up
you get a caution sign (triangle)
open key board and press down the following keys together alt key with the w key

For a soft reset -

turn off phone
hold down red button
last button to the right to turn off. Once off

hold home key (little house) and red key (phone icon) down at the same time
and the reset graphic screen comes up
you get a caution sign (triangle)

Press the following keys together and hold them for 1 second
home key and the back key

Problems with WIFI on Samsung Galaxy

Problems with the Samsung Galaxy not connecting to Wifi. Follow these steps:
Select Applications
Settings
Wireless and network
Wi-Fi settings

Press menu key ( lower left corner of phone )
Select Advanced
Select Static IP

Now enter the IP address, gateway, Netmask, DNS1 and DNS 2.

If you do not know these. Go to your computer at home and open a dos window ( Run and type cmd)
type inconfig

RESET SAMSUNG GALAXY TO FACTORY SETTINGS

If you have installed one two many applications and your cell phone is freezing, you might want to reset it back to factory setttings. You will loose installed applications and everything stored on the phone and not the sd card. If you have created an account in google and saved all your contacts, after reset the contacts will be downloaded back to your phone. There are two types you can do one thru your menu, if you can get to your menus and the other one holding 2 keys down.

Factory reset thru menus.

Lower left of your cell phone select Applications, then Settings icon, then Privacy, then Factory data reset

Hard Reset

Hold down the up and dows volume key and the on/off button at the same time till the phone turns on. The phone will start installing the os again and applications that it comes with.

Forgotten Password On LG BANTER TOUCH Cell Phone

My Nephew locked his MetroPCS LG Banter Touch cell phone and could not remember the password. We took out the battery and tried several things without sucess. Then I came across a post after more than a week of searching. After successfully unlocking the cell phone, I decided to post to help others. Good Luck...
 
1.  Turn on the phone you can choose to unlock or make emergency phone calls.

2. Choose make emergency phone call then dial ##626* then on the next screen    type 587846 as the service code.
 
3. Choose NAM1 and then edit. Change the last four digits to zeros and done. this should change the lock code to 0000
